Students will continue to develop and use their expertise in drawing and design theory gained in DVC101 to resolve more complex design briefs.
With a focus on spatial and product design, students will continue to develop their skills in planning, time management and identifying and meeting the needs of complex design briefs through exploring and refining ideas.
Students will explore and refine their ideas through various modelling techniques these being: drawing, rendering, extended research, 3D sculpture, SketchUp, Fusion360 and Adobe Illustrator. Students will learn to draw from a number of different design practices and practitioners to inspire their work.
Students will utilise and further extend their skills in graphic design and visual communication in a presentation brief to promote their work.
