Level 1 Design and Visual Communication
Course Description

Students build on the foundational drawing and design knowledge gained in 10DVC to resolve more comprehensive design briefs.
Researching an influential spatial or product designer or design movement, students are introduced to Design. Students develop their critical ability and employ this researched understanding in their own design work. They will develop skills in planning, time management, identifying and meeting the needs of a design brief, exploring and refining ideas.
Students will grow their understanding of visual communication principles and techniques in order to fulfil a presentation brief to present their work.
