This is a foundation course which covers the basic Visual Art skills needed for success at senior levels in Art Design and Photography. These Visual Art skill areas include photo-manipulation, digital painting/illustration, and moving image. Students learn to use artist research and preparation studies as a basis for finished art works.
METHODS OF ASSESSMENT:
4 NCEA Level 1 credits will be offered.

$25 materials fee and an A3 drawing wallet, pencil, eraser purchased at any stationary outlet.
Recommended Prior Learning
Completion of the Year 9 Art course to a high level and on recommendation of the Art teacher (or a drawing test set by the HOD Art to determine suitability for entry.)
