In Fabric Technology students follow the technology process to design and make outfits for the two units of work:
Unit 1 – Street Style – You choose a pattern and make a street style garment. The garment is made from a woven cotton fabric and includes shaping techniques.
Unit 2 – Cultural Design – You design four contemporary garments showing an influence from a culture of your choosing. You make one of the garments.
This course is a precursor for NCEA technology and Pre-Academy Fabric courses in the senior school
