Recommended Prior LearningNo prior learning is required. Students who are creative and want to be able use industry standard tools to produce professional looking content are strongly encouraged to take this course.
In this course you will learn how to design and create webpages which connect to a database. You will learn about ‘Usability’ (i.e. how to ensure that everything you make is easy to use).
You can take TCCOM1 (as well as TCDTI1). Doing so will allow you to earn a total of 25 credits over both courses (this includes two unit standards).
Students who also do TCCOM1 will be strongly encouraged to complete US5946 (make a presentation and present it for an audience).
Level 2 Digital Information Technology
This course leads on to TCDTI2 and DTIUE where students deepen their skills and create more complex outcomes. DTIUE Students can opt to continue their studies at Design school.
Having a background in Design leads to exciting careers. Designers can use their skills in any country in the world without needing to recertify / retrain (as is the case with other professions).
Students need headphones that must be brought to every lesson so that they can access the sound associated with the video tutorials. Our system can accommodate both blue tooth headphones and heaphones that fit into a standard headphone jack.
