Students are invited to fill out an application form on-line. The student should have the potential to represent the school at Premier level.

Students may not study Physical Education 101 as well as being in Sports Performance and Development 101, because there are common standards that exist in both courses.


This course is offered to high performing student athletes at Massey High School. The programme offers both a practical and theoretical component. The practical sessions include conditioning and skill coaching. The theory offers university approved Achievement Standards and covers a variety of relevant subjects to help high-performance athletes such as health and well-being, anatomy and biomechanics, developing training programmes, coaching, teamwork, skill analysis and performance
Practical Assessments and theory tests.
