Level 1 Science 100

SCI100
Course Description

Teacher in Charge: J. Skevington

Recommended Prior Learning

Excellence grades in the Year 10 Science Exams (Biology, Physics and Chemistry).

This course is the best choice for students who will continue with multiple Sciences in Year 12. Students will need to have excelled in Year 10 Science. Science 100 takes two option lines and covers Biology Chemistry, Physics and Earth and Space Science. It covers areas of Science not taught in any other option. Students will gain the widest grounding possible in all fields of Science taught in NCEA, also being taught by subject specialists in each area.
In Year 12 students can progress to CHE201, PHY201, BIO201 and ESS201 based on their results.

TIMETABLING
Students will have Science twice a day for the full year. Students will have 4 teachers over the year, two for the first half of the year and 2 new teachers for the second half of the year. Each area of learning will have the same number of lessons.
