Course Description

Recommended Prior Learning

Previous Art – preferably a minimum of 15 credits from NCEA Level 1 Art
A student may not do more than one of Art 201 and Art Photography 201 without the permission of the HOD Art.


Students are encouraged to explore the visual world around them, experiment with mediums and create a body of artworks that best describes their journey of discovery with elements of personality and culture.  They will also study other artist's work in order to improve their own skill in Art making methods and techniques to help the development of their own visual expression.
