Recommended Prior Learning22 credits in Level 3 Visual Arts - Photography.
A student wishing to do more than one Level 3 Visual Arts subject must have the approval of the HOD Art.
Students will carry out a personal course of study that explores the use of digital photographic processes as a means of generating and developing visual ideas. The emphasis is in the use of photography as an artistic medium with reference to established artistic models. Work produced for assignments and folio may also be used for entry into visual arts / communications courses that require a portfolio of artwork.
METHODS OF ASSESSMENT:
Internally assessed assignment work. Externally assessed body of work presented on A1 folio panels.

Assignment work developing visual ideas through exploring different approaches to photography
Research methods and ideas used by a variety of photographic artists
Term 2
Development of visual ideas through a chosen approaches to photography
In depth research methods and ideas used by photographic artists in a chosen approach
Term 3
Develop a body of work for external folio assessment by exploring visual ideas in your chosen approach
Term 4
Complete and present work for external folio assessment
