Level 2 Music
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: N. Baldwin.
This course develops three areas of your musicianship: Performance, Instrumentation and Musicology (the study of Music Works). You will decide whether you will perform as a soloist (2 pieces - 6 credits) and/or as a member of a group (1 piece - 4 credits). You must be learning from one of our itinerant teachers if you do not have a private teacher and must be prepared to perform in front of an audience.
Note that students can select this course if they have not taken MUS101 but must come and see the HOD, Mr Baldwin and perform on their chosen instrument for him to ensure they are suitable to take this course.
Recommended Prior Learning
NCEA Level 1 or sufficient prior learning in Music at the discretion of the HOD. To cope at this level a student must be learning an instrument for at least full three years in individual or group lessons.
