Level 3 Elite Dance Course
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: T. Quintana.
Choreography
A strong focus upon the creation of original and extension dance pieces. Students will develop the ability to create work for both themselves and others as well as manage all aspects of a performance.
Dance Performance
Students will be involved in numerous performances throughout the year which will further explore dance techniques and the requirements of site specific performances. They will also be responsible for all aspects of a production.
Dance Perspectives
Students will develop an understanding of the development of dance within NZ and significant changes related to events and people.
Recommended Prior Learning
All student will need to audition for this class. Study of Dance in Year 12 desired and/or competent dance experience in any given dance style. A high level of motivation and good attendance is essential.
