Japanese Basic Level 1
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: C. Linnen.
A courses for senior students from Years 11 to 13 who would like to pick up Level 1 Japanese as a 6th subject. The course would start with the basics (CL1) and ultimately get to CL5/ 6 in 1 year. The course will require commitment to study vocabulary at home to get up to the necessary level to achieve NCEA Level 1 1.2 assessment. This would be a way to try to grow senior classes, as the next year the Year 11 classes and these classes could combine for Year 12.
This course would only give 5 - 10 Level 1 credits, so students would need to be able to get enough credits in their other courses.
