Course Description

This course covers topics involving atmosphere, ocean, and geologic processes. We also investigate how to determine the age of rocks, how the planets of our Solar System formed, and other issues involving the world around us.

Methods of Assessment:
2 external assessments worth 4 credits each
4 Internal assessments; 3 worth 4 credits and involving research and investigation of various ESS topics

Recommended Prior Learning

Students must have gained at least 10 credits from either a Science or Geography course at level 1 or higher (although level 2 or higher is recommended). This course can be taken alongside level 3 Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. However, there is overlap in one standard with level 3 Chemistry.
