Course Description

This programme is designed as a continuation from TOU203 or for those who followed the Hospitality / Tourism Academy who now wish to specialise in a Tourism pathway.
Successful completion of both the TOU203 programme and this course will qualify a student for the NZ Certificate of Tourism (Introductory Skills) Level 2.
The course will focus on the importance of Tourism to NZ focussing on key destinations and analysis of the Economic Impacts as well as a specific focus on Māori Tourism. The course also at looks at our nearest neighbours with standards covering Destination Australia, Destination Pacific Islands.
Work Experience opportunities can be made available upon request.
All assessments are internal and open book, some are assessed online All are done in class under teacher supervision
