Level 2 Business Studies
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: J. Jia.
Level 2 Business Studies is a course based on NCEA Level 2 Business Studies Achievement Standards.
The Business Studies course is an opportunity for students to learn about some important business factors that significantly influence how successful businesses operate. The course also includes a practical Business Activity where students work in groups to write a detailed business plan and then make, market and sell products in line with their business plan. Students are required to reflect on how successful their business activity has been and provide updates to their business plans.
The course therefore offers a blend of business studies theory with practical business activities working in groups. As part of the group activity students get a chance to develop and practice some essential business skills including teamwork, leadership, communication and planning.
