Topics: Japanese homes and housing. Food: eating and drinking, at a restaurant. Activities: sports, free time, after school activities. My Town and Life: directions, daily routine, school life, shopping, health, weather, travel and holidays.

My Town
Unit 1 Where is the shop? Includes various shop names, store locations.
Unit 2 How do I get to the bank? Asking directions
Unit 3 Uniforms. Names of clothing, describe what people are wearing.
Unit 4 Activities, sport and what people do for leisure, ie in their free time.
Term 2
My friend’s Birthday
Unit 1 Lets have a party. Things to buy, names of various foods and drink, presents.
Unit 2 Where shall we do the shopping? Preparation (numbers), comparisons.
Unit 3 Which do you want? Practice conversations around buying things and going shopping.
Unit 4 What are we going to eat? Food and and drink names. Restaurant visit
Term 3
Travel
Unit 1 Talking about the weather and comment on it. Make a reservation.Recognize, ask about and say when events occur.
Unit 2 What will you do? Describe and narrate activities and events in a sequence.
Unit 3 Bad luck! You’ve got sick!
