Level 3 Media Studies
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: C. Dower-Cruden.
This course is designed to follow on from Media Studies 201. It covers topics such as Media issues, close reading of films, an auteur study with a focus New Zealand Media. You will create a short film for the “Moscars” festival in Term 3. There is also a trip to Hobbiton in order to get an insight into the NZ film industry. You are able to take this course alongside the Radio academy.
METHODS OF ASSESSMENT:
Theory tests, practical assessment (short film), essays and external exams.

Media 201 or open entry with discussion from HOD Media Studies
