Level 2 Art
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: E. Batten-Cotter, C. van der Walt.
Students are encouraged to explore their own visual theme, experimenting with drawing and painting mediums to create a body of artworks that develop a successful painting approach for their external folio. They will also study other artists' work in order to improve their own skill in art making methods and techniques.
Recommended Prior Learning
Previous Art – preferably a minimum of 15 credits from NCEA Level 1 Art
A student may not do more than one of Art Level 2 and Art Photography Level 2 without the permission of the HOD Art.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
An A3 Visual Diary, A3 art case, drawing equipment, acrylic paints and brushes
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
